This is on my 81 xs850s, so mostly similar to most XJs in terms of overall circuit layout for the turn signals.

I can turn on my left signal every time no problem.
If left is on, and I switch it to right, the right signal also works.

If no signals are on for ~10 secs are more, and I turn on the right signal, I get nothing.. I have to trigger the left signal first, then switch it to the right.

Most of the time I'm using hand signals, tho it'd be nice to have this working again.

Anyone seen this behavior? Any ideas?

While waiting for replies, I will disassemble/clean/rebuild the switch (again), and I will attempt to disconnect the cancel unit also (its a pain getting at it, as my hands are not small, and I basically have to drain all the fuel and pull petcocks to get the tank off)
