Coming from Chicago, the bike always sounded like it ran lean. I would get popping on decel and whatnot.

Now that I'm in Denver, it seems to be running much better. I don't hear that popping sound anymore, and it smells like a carburated engine(smell of gas from the exhaust). It might have gone a bit richer than it should be, but I'd rather have it rich over lean!

What is the best way to make the appropriate adjustments for altitude on these carbs?

edit: Also, I think I need to invest in a fairing. I did a run down to CO springs this past weekend, at at a sustained(and mostly legal) 80mph, the wind does get somewhat tiring pushing my head around.

A colortune plug would be the preferred way to adjust your carbs. Not having that , check your sparkplugs for correct burn color.

You may need to lean out your PMS a bit, but you shouldn't have to mess with the jetting.

My Seca runs great with the stock jetting and the PMS at 2.5 turns out. Well, it did before one (or more) of the pilots got clogged with something. I'll be pulling the carbs off soon and cleaning them.
