What Yamaha motorcycles used a rearset back in the 80's? Did any of the XJ models use a rearset? Did any of these models have drum brakes in the rear?

I want a rear set on my bike...so that I will be sitting on it like I would on a crotch rocket..I would rather have it off of an XJ bike...since the frames are alike.

he said rearset, not rear SEAT. I sdont know that any xj had stock rearsets. they all have mid controls.

I'd say the RZ350, FZ600 or FZ750 would be good bets.

you could move the pegs around a bit and use or shorten up the brake lever and the gear shift. Takes a bit of fabrication but it works. If I remember Spec II sold some rearsets for the seca's back then too. I imagine he might still have a set laying around. Wouldnt hurt to ask

What is your definition of rear set? The seca 650 shifter was reversed and positioned the foot peg far behind the shift shaft.
