Well, I have checked 6 junk yards and have had no luck. I need a white faced speedo for my xj700 air cooled. Mine was destroy in a recent Neiborhood kids vs. motorcycle devastation. I am also looking now for a rear left signal stay, ignition switch, left side cover, choke lever (with hardware), and cable. I think I have found everything else needed, thanks mostly in part to members here. Flea bay has had none ao these items available for over a week now so I am spreading the word.

Sorry to hear about your vandalized bike! I've seen XJ700 instrument clusters on eBay from time to time, keep searching and something WILL turn up!

    Good luck.

Hey Capy, I think I may have a good used speedo for a XJ700, face might be faded a tiny bit though. Maybe some of those other parts, too. Drop me a PM if you're still looking......

Some of the XV viragos have the same speedo. I believe mine came off of a 86 1100. I have one on my 85 700. I think I may have a side cover for you. NOS side cover. Since I still owe you for the parts you sent me. I will check and see if it is the correct one and let you know.

Didn't the Virago use a tach and speedo with a black background on the face?

Thats how I found my replacement. Turn signal lights and such are different but the speedo mounts the same and the speed drive on the wheel caries the same part number as our xj700. Mine is accurate also. I had to look for one because the last owner of the bike pretty much destroyed the gauge trying to get into it to fix the odometer.
