I have this problem with my xj650. My bike is leaking oil everywhere. I narrowed it down to where the oil was coming from, (the hose connected from the air box to the caburetors) but I don't know what is causing it. Can any one help?

I had the same problem. My low oil light kept coming on. I couldn't see through the window too well and thought I was low. Next morning I have a mess on the garage floor. It seems I over filled the crank case and oil was blowing into the airbox. I drained more than 1 1/2 quarts out to get to the right level. (that will teach me!)

+1 on overfilled oil. When did you last add oil?

A quart on two days ago... when I figured out where the oil was coming from. Wasn't for sure if it were the carbs or what.

I'd drain your oil, put in the correct amount of fresh new oil and see what happens. Don't overfill
