Im looking for aftermarket mufflers for my xj650 maxim. Does anyone know any good websites where I can find something like that?

Bikebandit, Dennis Kirk, eBay are a few solutions. Jardine makes a couple of slipon systems that replace the mufflers. Mac has a couple of styles also. Other than that there really isn't much available in the US. cruzerjd

Originally I had 4 into 2 exhaust on my bike. I really like the canister look, but those only come in 4 into 1. How much of a difference will it make if I go from 4 into 2 to 4 into 1. And if I go with the 4 into 1 should I upgrade to pod filters?

You can go with a 4-into-1 system without doing any mods to your carbs (ok maybe turn out the air jets a bit) and you do not have to use pod filters. I had the MAC 4-into-1 system on my bike and it ran great with no mods to the carbs at all. PD
