Ok, so I pulled the carbs again and doublechecked a few things, reset the idle screw and the mix screws at bit more than 3 turns out from bottom. Now the bike will "sputter" on its own, just hitting the ignition. If I spray a SHORT burst of starter fluid in, it'll start, and then will run, as long as I keep it over 2000 RPMs, for a minute or so. Then it just kinda bogs down and dies, no matter what I try to do. If I hit the starter IMMEDIATELY after it dies, it'll "start" but dies immediately again.

The throttle is very responsive while its running, will rev up and down with pretty easy control.

If I try to start it without fluid, I just get a cough, nothing else.

    Any ideas?

Perhaps try this whole thing agaim with the petcock on "prime". A see-through fuel filter would allow you to visually verify the flow of fuel as well.

Did that iirc, I'll try again tonight after work just to be sure though.

I was working on that before i pulled the carbs this last time ... only issue was that I ended up with it turned so far in, that I'm sure the blades were WAY far open for normal idling... are my common-sense circuits burned?

Hi, im having the same problems im betting 90 percent its the imulsion tubes on the carbs (cold start circuit ) once she is warm she will start just fine until she is cold then back to the spray.
