Gasket Question

    I ripped a new gasket for the cylinder jug. One gasket below the head gasket (between the block and cylinder), while angerly removing it after breaking a piston ring during a top end overhaul. This is my first project and my question is this; if im very generous with rtv will I get away with the ripped gasket? Seems that the oil seals around the cylinders are taking the brunt of the pressure anyway. Anyone ever try this? Let me know what you think. Thanks, Lou
    PS Anyone have a gasket thats not 75 bucks?

    You should be ok with high temp RTV but I will suggest this is a temporary repair. Save up and replace at first opportunity.
