Body Panels/Fairings and other parts for an '82 Xj750R SECA

    Hi there I just Purchased an 1982 Yamaha XJ750R SECA for $100. As you can imagine a $100 bike is in pretty poor shape it has no fairing on it and the right side body panel that covers the battery is missing. The bike needs new fork seals, a top end gasket set, new tires, a new seat or seat cover, ect, ect, ect.
    I was wondering if you were still able to get the body panels or an original fairing for it anymore. I went to my local Yamaha dealer and he said he couldn't get any of the body parts but could get the engine parts, fork seals and tires which I have ordered. Also being the redneck I am just over half of the bike is held together with a massive amount of duct tape. :)

    Post a "wanted" in the buy and sell section of the forum... or check ebay.. people always selling old body parts

    New side covers available from www.cheapcycleparts.com. About $75 with emblem.

    check the 'bay...

    as far as fairings are concerned, i did a bunch of looking for the one i have coming (small sport bike sized vs. the big touring sized fairing)...

    just keep looking. youll find what you need...

    Thanks guys i was able to order my body panels and looked at a few fairings but haven't decided on one yet
