Just curious, has anyone lowered their bikes? Am I making sense? I want to know if you can do that on mine and if so, how?! Thanks!

I lowered my 650 by about 2 inches by putting a set of Harley sportster shocks on it. the ride is much better now. You will need to bend (or cut and reweld)your kickstand though.

Check ebay, the shocks are cheap and easy to come by

Me to. That and pushing the tubes through the trees an inch and a half (had to switch to clipons for this to clear my bars, though risers would work too). Nice even drop.

Rides great. I have curbed the exhaust a few times, tho.

Re-shaping your seat would go long way toward making it look lower too. Looks like about 8" of foam in the back.

Would also save you the exhaust scraping on speed bumps... if you have an aftermarket 4-1...

EDIT: Which by your pic it looks like you don't.

Cheapest route is def the harley shocks. I got mine for free (actually gave the guy a flask of rum... so $12.00). Then if you want you can lower the front a bit through the clamps, as said.

Anyone ever found a saddle-type seat that bolts on without too much trouble?
