dumb fuel line question

    as far east as you can get in michigan 43.027407,
    if i cut the fuel line for my inline filter, the gas should NOT just pour out of the tank because of the negative pressure vent tube right?

    or did i avoid a big mess by NOT cutting into it last night...

    If you have the petcock set in the the ON position, you should get a slight residual dribble and that should be it. If you have fuel pouring out, your petcock needs to be rebuilt.

    ride it til the gas runs out :D no drips at all then.

    thats what i thought...

    it was kind of late last night and the bike wasnt in the best position to work on and i couldnt remember FOR SURE so i didnt do the filter...

    i didnt want to have a drain of fuel all over the floor and myself...
