Here is a link for pics. These have a metal stem and plastic mirror housing. OEM and original mirrors that came on the bike.

I am trying to be fair about this so first come first serve. I sent a PM to the first to reply so if he declines I'll PM the next. Sorry for the suspense, I am really surprised at the interest in these.

No worries Blue, Zoom got in the door first. I read into your second post that perhaps Zoom learned that the mirrors were the wrong color or something and had passed on them. Don't mean to appear inconsiderate. No need to apologize for being fair about it all amigo, you are a model citizen here! Incidently, I've a machinist looking at your drawing of the blind hole bearing removal collet. Is the 17mm lower appendage independant of the 19mm collar or are they all part of the same single piece? Do you have any photos of one you have made/had made?

Actually Zoom was second and you are third. First place guy PM'd me but hasn't responded to my PM yet.

The bearing removal tool hasn't been made yet. I sent the drawing to Mike O. (injuneer) in Arizona so he could make the prototype. Same guy who makes the spin-on adapters and YICS tools for our XJ's. It is a one piece unit for the rear bearings made from 19mm bar stock. I haven't heard from him since I sent the drawing so I guess he hasn't had time to make one yet. He stays pretty busy so I don't know when I'll have one to test. The idea is to be able to make a cheap tool for XJ'ers since most blind bearing sets sell for upwards of $200. Another will be cut for the front bearings so two will be needed. I was hoping they could be made and sold for about $15 a piece. Ironically a few months after doing the drawing Harbor Freight introduced a blind bearing tool for $29.95. So my rear bearings may be installed with that before this gets made. It's been a few months so with riding season here I won't wait much onger for him to finish one. I'll just buy the Harbor Freight one and be done with it.

I've given it some thought and I'll drop out on this one. As much as I love the price (and need mirrors) I was truly hoping for chrome or steel and will just pony up the extra cash to get them off fleabay or jc whitney.
So if #1 passes they can go to Robert.

Zoom check out the mirrors at mikesxs.com. They are just like the ones I put on my bike. All metal and chrome with the right side reverse thread.

Thanks for your consideration Zoom, right nice of you.
Blue, just bought the Harbor Freight blind bearing tool today. I'll give it a spin this weekend. Heck of a lot cheaper than the Snap-On unit ($400+).
