Thanks to my last military move ten years ago, I have a cracked lens in my XJ that I want to bring back to life. My on-line searches have shown that it is no longer available through Yamaha.

I've also found that it is the same lens as the XV920 Virago.

Got a few requests with the salvage yards. Not many bikes with an 8" lens.

Any help, substitutes, or suggestion are appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Nick

I posted my request for a headlamp lens to uneedapart.com motorcycle section and have received some responses. I'll let folks know if I'm successful in getting a lens.

    Cheers,

Best of luck Nick. Would you consider poping a sealed beam in there just to get things going?

    Got a Headlamp!

Thanks to Rick's Motorcycles in Plaistow, NH, I have a very nice replacement headlamp with beauty ring.

I placed my parts need through UNeedAPart < http://www.uneedapart.com/ > and was contacted by three different used parts suppliers. Rick's offered me a great price and worked through phone calls, voice messages and email because of my business travels to get me the part I need at a great price.

Recommendation: contact Rick's Motorcycles for your used parts needs.

    A very pleased customer.
