Group ride people........10 days in July 2007

Haven't you always wanted to explore B.C straddling a rocket that glides along pavement like its riding on rails ?..with nothing but
whatever you can creatively pack and stuff in every nick and cranny on and around you.

Different scenery around every turn, just you, your bike, a couple of other good folk and the open road baby.....Wild life popping up their heads in the bushes to see what the rumbling sound of thunder going by them is.... wishing they too could experience the god-like power of a simple twist of the right wrist and you suddenly increase the wind in your face and the blood pressure in your veins..... Man and machine jockeying for position on the curvy highway..... Or just kickin back and enjoying following others lead as you watch the beautifull formation of shiny metal and rubber glide effortlessly in front of you....

Aaaahhhh yes i`m talking about total freedom for 10 days baby.....
Riding for a couple of hours, stopping for a couple more to play tourist in our own big back yard that most people will never take the time to enjoy.
pitching a tent in a camp ground, chilling with a few drinks and telling stories around a camp fire at night....oohh and bring your own tent because this is NOT broke back mountain buddy....lol...not that there is anything wrong with th..........wait yes there is.....not here...not on this trip......

So to wrap this up....
come one, come all, beautifull British Columbia awaits!!!!

Day 1: Vancouver to Castlegar (582 km)

Day 2: Castlegar to Golden (400 km)

Day 3: Golden to Jasper (300 km)

Day 4: Jasper to Prince George (385 km)

Day 5: Prince George to Smithers (372 km)

Day 6: Rest in Smithers

Day 7: Smithers to Prince Rupert (347 km)

Day 8: Prince Rupert to Bella Bella

*via BC Ferries 7:30 am - 5 pm. Beautiful Inside Passage sailing. *overnight in Bella Bella

Day 9: Bella Bella to Bella Coola

*via BC Ferries 9:15 pm – 6:30 am
*as noticed we have the entire day to kill in Bella Bella before the night sailing to Bella Coola

Day 10: Bella Coola to Williams Lake (450 km)

Day 11: Williams Lake to Vancouver (493 km)

*via Lillooet/Pemberton/Whistler

Total road mileage : 3329 km (average 416 km per ‘ride’ day)

*Plan is to camp (tents)
*Will require BC Ferry reservations

That sounds pretty cool Mavrick, but I've got to work. Have a great trip, though. Post some pics, if you're up for it.

 

I would go for sure if it's an open invitation. Got a buddy with an 81 seca 750 that would maybe be interested as well.
