I have gotten most of the work done on putting the head back on the bike...problem is that when I rotate the crank, the cams do not move. I believe that the chain is not on the crank but am not sure. I see that my front chain guide is not seated all the way into the recess. Are these related issues?? I have no binding when I turn and everything alse has gone smoothly. Any ideas?

If the chain is off it will not let the front guide slip by. So pull the chain tight and have a friend rotate the crank back and forth about 1/8 turn until you feel the chain grab hold. It will fairly easily slip back into place.
