Hey all. I am selling my XJ650 in Toledo, OH. My listing is here:
    http://toledo.craigslist.org/mcy/658292923.html
The listing also has a link to a bunch of pictures of the bike.
I started it out at $950 and plan on dropping $40 a day.
I know the bike is in rough shape in spots and has the front break issue.
I have a guy willing to pay $600 for it.
Is this guy about right or should I hold out for more?
    Any suggestions?

Fix your brakes and 800 - 900 is definately in your reach (depending on just how bad the paint job was done and the fender issue). Also, if fenders are only $30, you might want to change it, you will probably make back the cost in the sale price.

Just my 2 cents. Any good-running bike in the spring is worth more than $600.

Fix the front brakes and that bike is easily worth a grand, if it runs decently. Don't forget: it's a 650cc inline four! And it looks mostly stock with no horrible weird mods.

Keep that battery charged and hold out for what it's worth.

    Makes me smile.
I paid $300 for my 650RJ, new tires, battery, header, clutch cable.
Great paint, could use new Yammy emblems on the tank.
Ran like a champ 'til this spring.
    :)

Lucky you. I'd buy it for $300 even though I don't need another bike right now.

Saying you're dropping the price $40 a day is probably not the best sales pitch either (sounds like it's over-priced from the start).

    Just my 2c....
