Just wondering, generally, how compatible the parts on the 550s and 650s are, and more specifically, will exhaust or carb boots fit either bike?

And if not 550/650, how about 650/750? Thanks Everyone!

The 550's are a diffrent carb set-up and so are the mufflers as far as I know. As for the 750 - 650 depending on the carbs some can be interchanged but some parts inside are diffrent. Mufflers? couldn't honestly say.

I'm also curious on the exhaust from the 750.

Anyone know if the carb boots/holders are the same on any of the bikes? I am browsing ebay right now trying to find some for my 82 650 maxim

I think the carbs are the same, just different jetting. So the boots should be interchangable.

Bad news my friend. For the 80-82 650 Max 650 you will not be able to swap the intake boots to a 81-82 750 Seca. They are not compatible.
Carbs are the same but the boots have different mounting flanges.

What about 650 Max to 650 Seca?

    Dunno, don't have a 650 Seca.
