Anyone near wichita ks that wants to do some XJ work to get a free bike out of the deal?

I've got an 81-82 XJ650 that was taken apart by some doofus that had his head up his butt. Most of the parts are there but it's still missing some parts. The engine was torn all the way down and probably not worth putting back together.

    However,

I've got my 83 Seca turbo that has a good 750 maxim engine in it currently. I need someone with time (I don't have any) and some experience that might want to work on it. I have a 900 engine that needs put together (taken apart 8-9 years ago to make it easier to ship). Then install it in the turbo. You can keep the 750 engine and then keep the maxim chassis (which has a good title). That would give you a nearly complete bike for not much more then the cost of your labor.

No need to go all the way to Robert in California, bring it to Phoenix and I'll do it.

Thank God you arent within a days travel. I'd surely take you up on the deal.

I still want to put a 900 Engine in a 750 Maxim Frame. Having my own 900 Engine right here hasn't gotten me any closer to doing it, though. Mainly, because the engine is torn-down and waiting for me to reassemble it.

Sound like a spectacularly good deal, though!

Haven't heard from anyone yet. I don't care if it's nebraska or KC. It's been years since I rode it so if someone wants a summer project that's OK with me.
