Man this bike has got me by the nads!

Thanks to the freaking motor heads here, I can't get the idea of a chopped and bobbed screamer out of my head.
I have a line on a non running '81 Seca 750 that I may be able to get into very cheaply. It has "Low fast and mean" written all over it!
I'm picturing a lowered rigid rear end mod with a wider rear wheel/tire. Front shocke tubes shortened by 2". Drag pipes swept down and back under the frame tuned out and up just in front of the rear wheel. Low rise Zbar or flat dragger with 2" risers. The biggest headlight I can find, no speedo and the smallest turn signals available. All the cables will(dreaming now) be routed inside the bars and frame ala that Brit builder in CA with the bleached blond hair!

I feel a Tim Taylor grunt fest coming on!

Sounds cool! If you're doing a hard tail, you can make it so the driveshaft is exposed giving you room for a wider tire. There's a picture here somewhere of a custom frame. An old Honda dirtbike has a twist-grip and throttle cable inside the handlebar ! You can run a bicycle digital speedo, they're tiny. There's also something called "tinytach" on commercial mowers for $40 An LCD dash for $60 ! At the auto parts store they sell amber LED as small as a marker light and they are bright 2 for $10.
    Just some ideas.

Make sure to post photos of your mods and what it looks like when your done.

Well, I didn't get the fixer that I was looking at.
I will definitely keep my eyes and ears open for other opportunities though. I really have a need to chop one of these little demons up!
