Hi, Ltdave, it's not a seca tank, the bike is just a plain old xj650, a price we pay for living in the southern hemisphere, it wasn't always so.

no big secret, it's all in the prep' don't be afaid to rub it down & fill again if you are not happy with the first coat. you may need a stabilizer, depending what the paint was before. i use a rattle can paint, but mixed at the auto paint shop. this one is metalic & once you have the finish you want, put all the "bling " on & then 2 coats of clear gloss laquer over the complete ensemble.
shake the paint can for 2-3 mins' before starting & sit the can in very hot water for 10 mins' & shake again every 1- 2 mins' while spraying. the art is to get the distance from the work & the speed of the pass right, too far away & too quick, the paint will be "dry" too slow & too close you will get runs, practice. always invert the can when you have finished and spay till it blows clear.
    i hope this helps.
