    Hi all,
1st post and I'm bad at wording things so i hope I ask this right.
    Have a 1984 XJ750 RL #44X-000466
I am trying to bring my bike back to the road after 10 years of sitting.
From looking around it's not a common model and I cannot seem to find out what the exact differences are between it and similar models.
I downloaded a few manuals (will be puchasing hard copy soon as I figure what manual covers it) but none yet mention the 44X. Even a supplement I found states 750 RL in filename but model code listed inside is 45T.

Basically I'm worried that getting a close manual that may have imortant information that is incorrect for my model. So does anyone know what the differences are and what is the correct or closest manual to get.

    Many thx for any assistance,
    A.B.Ames

The 1984 XJ750RL is just like the US model 1983 XJ900 Seca except for the different engine displacement.

    Hi thx for response,

So does that mean I should get the XJ900 manual rather than the 80-84 XJ650,750 fours manual?

    Thx

    Hi:
I have the XJ 750 RL as well. From what I have read, the manuals for the 900 and the 750 are almost the same. The 900 has anti-dive forks, a handlebar mounted fairing and the bigger engine but other than that they are basically the same bike. I have the Haynes manual and I just found a factory manual at a swap meet, both for the 900. There is some good info on the XJ CD and lots wisdom here in the forms. Good luck.
