I just noticed a small oil spot on the garage floor after a 260 mile ride the previous day. It is coming from the boot at the front of the drive shaft/rear of transmission. I am assuming there is a seal leaking, has anyone had experience with this problem and if so is there a fix other than changing the seal?

Check and make sure it's from the driveshaft boot and not dripping from the air box drain fitting located just above that boot.

Already checked, its definately coming out the bottom of the boot. The area above the boot is clean and free of any oil.

Sorry then, you will have to track which end is giving the leak - engine or final drive. No quick fixes that I'm aware of to solve a seal leak, unless fluid levels are too full?

OK, and thanks. I will check out where it is coming from and may just have to live with it for a while.
