throttle cable broke

    ok its not really the throttle cable, it's more like the throttle grip,

    EDIT: I found the problem, the throttle cable was binded (thank you MrShake), i open up the starter switch, and the cable was not happy, it's bend in a weird way, the cable looks old, and it won't go back into it's origional position correctly,
    do i replace the throttle cable?
    or is there a way to keep using the old cable, everytime i turn the throttle, it will not return, because the cable in the grip loses it's track and locks itself up, i took some pics





    ps bike in question is 86 maxim x
    and i have the xj cd, greatest 10bucks ever

    It sounds to me like your throttle cable needs to be rerouted. Its probably being pinched our binding somewhere.

    I would replace it. You can pick one up for $20 on ebay. Dark Horse Cycle is the ebay store. They are great, and have super fast shipping. I just replaced mine as it was getting "stickey"
