i have a 81 xj550r seca and its got a new clutch cabe and it is adjusted correctly, i think, and when i drive it hard in the higher rpm's 9-11 and if i shift using the clutch and get on it again WOT it will slip and i have to let off and get back on it again, if i shift without the clutch if will shift and hold fine till about 100mph then when i put it in 5th and tuck down and open it up it the rpm's will go up about 1k and it won't accelerate, then i have to let off and go again, but at slower speeds and rpm's all 6 gears hold and work fine

What kind of oil are you using?

Any oil that's got "Energy Conserving" on the label can cause clutch slipping.

I use Mobil 1 Racing 4T 10w-40 in both my R6 and my Seca.

It's a motorcycle-specific synthetic and will handle any abuse you give your bike.
