I was getting the cam rattle, so I took the valve cover off, and sure enough there was grooves in the top from the cam chain. I took the manual adjuster out, and took it apart. I have never took one out before, but I'm pretty sure that it's not supposto look like this. Does anyone know if I can somehow fix it to original, or order a new one from somewhere?

I think it is supposed to look like that.

It doesn't come in contact with the Chain. It comes into contact with the back of the Cam Chain Follower.

That little lip keeps it from rotating.

Shouldn't be that tight. It should slide smoothly so that it can take up slack as the tensioning blades move. I would polish the tensioner shaft and bore. Little dab of moly grease and put her back in service.
