Yeah i agree. will be interesting to see what it sells for. Mine is in good shape, but i'd have to spend another 1500 to get it looking even close to that good. No doubt he has some $ in it, but for the 4K range, i'm picking up something made in this century!

Considering that an '85 700 sold for $3000 right off the showroom floor, yeah, I'd say it's overpriced. And as much as he might want to wish that these bikes are collector's items and appreciating in value, wishing ain't gonna make it true. We're not talking about a '67 Charger here.

Nothing like having a bike for 20 Years, then selling it and getting almost all your money back.

I think you'll see a few bikes getting sold for some decent money now that gas is getting expensive.
Either the bike is going to be used for saving dough on the high cost of energy, or somebody is looking for something to ride-around on that gets better mileage than the Hummer he can't unload and can't afford to fuel.

The TV has been flooded with commercials for the non-selling guzzlers.
Most are being offered for 0.00% APR.

That's a big part of the reason I finally pulled the trigger and got my bike. But then, my cage still gets 28-30mpg usually, and 34-36 on the highway if I behave.
