    Hello all....I found this site searching the specs on my newly acquired 81 650. Looks like alot of info on here. This is my second bike, I previously owned a 94 FZR600. I got the itch again for a bike so I found this one for a really nice price. 24000 miles on it. Needs a little cosmetic work, but it runs like a champ.

    Okay, technically I am an Iowan too. I was born there and lived there until 1987 when I moved to California. As for my 1982 Maxim 400, I bought it from Sindt Motor Sales in Dubuque in the fall of 1982!

    My 1982 XS400J came from St. Paul, MN. Had to rent an F-150 to drive up and get it. $96.00 for the rental and another $160.00 in gas to go get it.

    Madone: Small world. I moved to California in 1999, shortly after I got married. I moved back to Iowa in 2003, shortly after I got divorced. :lol:

    I liked it out there until the newness wore off and I realized how dirty, overcrowded and expensive everything is.
