Just want to get an idea of what everyone does and what their MPG is...

I was shifting near 3k to 3.5k and getting around 36 to 40 mpg in the city.

I shift my 750 seca around 4 to 5k usually (right below where the bike starts to resonate) for in-town driving. Not sure on gas mileage honestly but it seems to be in the 36-40mpg range.

I do city driving to work and back. I've been shifting at 4k (most of the time) the past 2 tanks and I'm getting 35mpg. I'll try shifting at 3k the next couple of tanks. I'm sure we're all trying to find the optimum these days.

Hard to say really I driver her to work a few days a week when I’m local which is an 11mile ride each way, 6 of that is highway. I think I shift around 4K most of time with an occasional 7K one thrown to let her breath a bit. But most of my shifts are just following the conditions around me at the time not really picking a spot on the tach. I just filled up today and got 46MPG which I’m very happy with since my SUV gets 14MPG on the same circuit.

~4k if I am just getting there slowly
    OR
~7k if I feel more frisky
    OR
9.2k if REAL frisky comes out.

Depends on circumstances like traffic, weather, ground conditions.

Never depends on How I Feel(Emotion)

Around 3~3 and a half grand when I'm just chugging around town. Closer to 10 if I feel like I need to make a point. And anywhere in between depending on certain variables: traffic; time of day; weather; how hungry I am.

I don't know that I look at the tach for shifting. I go more by the sound, how the bike is pulling and the traffic around or now behind me.

I shift around 5k, I like the noise drop :D

Sometimes I do it at 7k, that's a lot of fun, always first off the light:D

ok... I tried shifting at 4k or higher and it significantly reduced my MPG down to 32 MPG.

I am going back to shifting around 3k.

Riding the 650G, been shifting between 3 & 4.5k mostly. Even running on the freeway 50% of the time above 65 and upto 90mph I got 44.8mpg for 2 weeks and 45mpg last week. I usually let it ease up there for shifting and dont really crank on it hard unless I'm merging onto the freeway or changing lanes.
