I have a 750 on a 650 frame and due to the way the shifter sits, it shifts backwards. Id like to see if it would be possible to get it back to a conventional status but i cant see any reference pics that give me the detail i need. can someone snap a few pics of the shifter setup on their 750 for me please? thanks in advance.

P.S. i skimmed the gallery to no avail.

Be aware that the picture from Osage is for a 750 SECA shifter mechanism.......750 Maxim's use a similar-but-different configuration that also requires the use of the separate, adjustable shifter plate behind the cover.

I think you're going to have to end up getting the entire shifter cover and guts from a 650 Maxim in order to get it to shift in a conventional manner. Starting with the cover itself, there are just too many differences between the internal and external mechanism to allow for some type of "simple" fix.

    chacal,

i agree to an extent. im thinking that i might be able to fabricate a mount on the frame somewhere to facilitate the linkage. i would just need to see if the shift linkage from a 750 maxim would overlap the frame at a point where it could be mountable.
