I don't know how their shipping outside Canada works out - but fyi 3M reflective tape is on sale. I'll be gettin a roll or two for myself. It's good stuff for making yourself more visible at night or marking trailers and driveways.

    The tape is item #s:

    Red 5/16" - 8110629
    28' long roll, $1.49

    White 5/16" - 8110637
    28' long roll, $1.49

    White 1 5/16" - 8110652
    36' long roll, $1.49

I took some silver reflective tape and followed the bottom edge of the helmet. Then I added tape around the visor... I then realized I didn't improve the rear visibility much and that's what I was really after. So I added some stripes over the top visible in the second picture a little bit.

It was a cheap mod - maybe 3' of tape from a 28' roll that I brought for $1.49CDN. If it doesn't last forever so be it.

The stripes were added to my 4 year old helmet which will be replaced next season.

Here is the result of the work:

Very creative Woot, I don't think I'd be able to even have imagined such an arrangement.

I also bought 2 rolls of red and 2 rolls of white and plan on using them somewhere on the bike and helmet.

The plan was to be more visible at night as you say woot, and found the price very nice!

I admit it looks a bit skeletonish in the picture... that wasn't really the goal I just wanted to get some reflective stuff on their in a somewhat logical way...

When I brought the helmet I brought it to match my gear. I didn't think it would matter much as I've got a big tail light that should be more visible than the helmet.

With the stripping I *should* be more visible in 360 degrees... and even with my limited skills the tape was VERY easy to put down - it's meant for pin stripping so it flexes and bends nicely.

Just make sure you use sissors to cut it as it bends at the ends like electrical tape if you don't.

Very good idea woot and looks great too.
I did something similar with mine right after I got it.
We get some at work for our semi trailers. It's 2" wide and alternating 8" white and red strips. I took my gasket hole punch set and cut different size circles and attached on mine and I cut 2 larger pieces 1 on each side to follow the helmet design. There is also one on the chin that is hardly visible from the flash reflection.

I too like to be seen as much as possible, also have some on my lunch box that I strap to my NEW luggage rack but I'd still like to add some to the bike at some point.

To bad we don't have canadian tire down here. I'd like to maybe use some of the thinner stuff on the bike and the flexablility of the thin stuff is nice. I'll have to try and find some around here.
