This will probably get long winded.....Ill try to keep it short.

I was downtown The Dalles, Oregon last night on my way to band practice.

A riding club was having their weekly meet at a local eatery. I decided to stop and take a look.

    Long story short? Fooled ya!

Almost EVERY one of those bikes looked like the other, it got to the point where I couldnt tell if it was a Honda or a Yamaha and they all started to look like the Harley's.

Now the guys were nice enough, had a good time talking to them, and yes their bikes were pretty colors, but I found myself thinking how sad it was they hadnt really done anything to put what they had in that condition other than write checks.

Right now my 650 isnt the prettiest thing....but it sure is starting to run pretty...and Im doing it! And it will get to look pretty...the way I think will make it pretty.

Anyway that was my AH HA! moment yesterday.

    I share your "epiphany".
I have been attending "bike night" on main street regularly.
Although my XJ750 is not anywhere near cleaned up and polished yet it is the only one of it's kind I have seen there. It's no brand new mint Harley but it is unique in it's own special way.

    Word!
Maz a timewarp has opened in your wheel of that photo.
Be careful as it either might suck you in, or make your bike super fast ;)

I want your fairing. Nice looking bike. Is red and black the only two colors the xj750 came in?

    Gimmreaper-
I think those were the only two colors for the J model.
Thanks for the compliment on the bike. I still have a ways to go on cleaning it up and dialing it in.
The PO did no maintenance or cleaning at all except regular oil changes with castrol 20/50.
BTW,I am very fond of that fairing myself and have not seen another one like it.....

Thanks maz43, it reminded me of a Windjamer which I have, but want to modify and I liked the looks of yours.
