Well i know lots of you guys have had a similar experience, but that was the first time i ever rode a real sportbike. Unreal. Like a video game. the digital instruments were rolling so fast it was hard to keep up, but i know i shifted out of fifth at 155 and there was plenty of tach left to go (13,750 redline). No periphial vision, smooth air flow, felt better than my xj doing 80, lol.

    Synapsys:
I wanted to take it home.
I was glad to give it back to its owner.

    That's wierd, huh?

The gixxers are a quick way for me to end up in prison. Your experience may vary. I find it impossible to ride the superspors without wringing their necks, and that is not safe for me or the people I ride with. I had enough trouble with my fat and slow VFR, almost had to spend a night in the tank about 4 years ago...ahhh good times!

If they used the same technology in a smaller motor, you could have a 400cc bike putting as much power out as the 1980's 1000cc bikes. But they would be lighter, have better suspension, brakes and handling, and get better fuel economy. The insurance would also be cheaper. Hmmm. Project bike idea...

Hahahaha! That's a project i'll leave to someone else. I just had to elaborate on my adrenalin injection. I just thought i could imagine how fast those things could go, but i guess you just have to hop on one. I know lots of you guys here have (have had) ninjas, gixxers, cbrs, etc but that was my first time (maybe last) to hop on one. The problem is they are just too fast and too fun, i can imagine owning one and having trouble keeping it under 100 ALL THE TIME.....

Oh well that's my story of the day.

I got to a ride a gixxer 1000 last week. Way too fast for the likes of me.........
My back hurt in about 30 seconds.
They are definitely a young man's ride.
I'll stick to my two wheeled lazy boy(XJ750).

I would LOVE 2 ride a "newer" GSXR1000! I had an '87 GSXR1100. That was bored out 2 a 1200cc(drag bike, turned back into a streetbike..).. N I tell u what I would hit 120mph in 2nd gear easy.. :p 8O 8) I've gone over 165mph easly.. It was kinda hard 2 keep looking at my speedometer while I was passin' everyone on the freeway..

    Too fast for me too.
If was was going to go with something in the 1k+ category, I think I'd probably go HD just to keep me from going too fast, and like my 81 Seca, something to continually tinker on and fix :)
