carbs 750 xj maxim

    i have a 82 750 maxim 26,000 mi on it .She was running perfect but i let her set alittle over a year ,well i changed the gas ,she started but ran rough,so i put new plugs ,cleaned air filter took off the carbs cleaned them good and put some carb cleaner in tank. it runs better but when you give it gas and let off it takes a few seconds to drop back down to idle. any ideas ? thanks

    If it's not the slides sticking, then make sure that the diaphrams are all in good shape with no pin holes or tears in them.

    Make sure that all of the linkages and cables are free and have enough slack in them.
