Anyone familiar with Highway's 93 and 11 route thru Alberta? From Lake Louise to Saskatchewan River Crossing to Nordegg to Rocky Mountain House to Red Deer.

I'm wondering if there are fuel stops at Sask River Crossing or at Nordegg?

I'm thinking of going on a bit of a road trip next week and this info would help. Thanks

Yeah there is a gas station just to the north of the Nordegg turnoff as your heading up the parkway. Nordegg is a small town outside the National park border and has a gas station bar hotel and a few other amenities you would expect from such a place, but if you stop for fuel in Lake Louise you should have enough fuel to make it to Rocky Mountain house.

Thanks for that info veedub88, great timing too!

I'm leaving tomorrow on the first leg to Prince George for a couple of days visiting friends. Then I'm heading over to Edmonton for another few days and will be returning home on that Nordegg route!

Google Earth shows the distance as 258km from Rocky Mtn House to Lake Louise and I'm pretty certain that's within fuel range?? By that time in my trip I'm sure I will have a handle on highway mileage!

Right now I'm only getting about 225km per tank, that's why I posted my question!

Nick, if you're not 100% certain you can make Lake Louise to RMH on one tank, fill up when you see a chance to. There isn't a lot out there and it would really suck to get stranded out in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks, that's exactly as I was thinking. Just wanted to get some info to form a plan of travel and if I need a jerry can of fuel or not.
