I am trying to scoop up this seat but I'm not sure will it fit my bike or not?? I'm hoping it's close enough but I'm not sure. My bike is an 80' 650, the seat in question is off an 82' Maxim 550...

    Thanks for the help!

That could be helpful, thanks. I'm hoping if that's true my latch could be moved over to the new seat..

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Ummmm.....expect ALOT of work. The 650 uses a single "twin-hook" method of retaining the seat pan to the bike frame, whereas the 550 Maxim uses double hooks, which may (or may not) be in the same relative position to allow the 550 hooks to work on the 650 frame hook catches.

Of course, with enough work, you can get it to fit, but...........
