Hi, just registered. Am a xj650 owner which is my primary transport, I do around 40 miles a day on it too and from work come rain, snow sun or hail.

At the moment its got 120000 on the clock (!) and is on its second engine which also needs replacing (cheaper to replace than fix the faults on the existing one) Im going to take the time to strip it down, replace headstock and wheel bearings, shocks and rebuild the forks. A powdercoated frame and respray is on the cards as well as I can get frames powder coated for £30 via a mate and I've resprayed quite a few bikes and cars.

    Enough rambling on my part

    whoops, thats miles.

Ive owned xj650's for quite a few years, the last one unfortunately ended up a little banana shaped after a car driver indicated left and turned right.

can anyone spot the deliberate (ahem) mistake lol, picture was taken just after it had a tidy up and replacement engine slotted in. It had replacement headstock bearings, new forks seals, replacement shocks and wheel bearings and a respray in Rover purple, all by myself

Trey - it is a lot but its had a LOT of replacement bits over the years to keep her going. Overnight engine swaps to get you to work the next day lol

I should point it's now a lot scruffier than when the picture was taken
