Benefits of a 2 into 1 exhaust?

    I noticed there's a 2 into 1 exhaust available for the Maxim 400 twin. What kind of benefits does one see from switching over to one of these?

    One major benefit is that after installation, you get to remove and replace your carbs dozens of times while attempting to re-jet and tune the carbs so that the bike will perform correctly, and thus you become somewhat of an expert at those tasks!

    Acually I also replaced the stock air cleaner with a K&N and swapped the stock jets out once. I think I stepped it down about 4 clicks. Maybe I got lucky and got the right jet the first time?
