I know they make this for the XJ1100. Does anyone know if it's made for the 82' Maxim 650? Thanks.

Interesting.. I thought my bike shifted fine, but that sure sounds nice, on paper so to speak. I'll have to look into this further.

The guy that makes this product said to send him the "stock detent arm and detent arm spring" and maybe he can make one. I have a whole other trans coming for parts. Maybe those parts are in there. I'll let you know how it works out.

The Detent Arm and the Detent Arm Spring

Does anybody know these parts? I need to send them to the guy that makes this shift kit to see if he can make for my 650 maxim.
    Thanks.

Man I'd be all over this on my seca 750... I read through the link that earz posted... the logic seems sound, but I dont know how well (if at all) they really work...

All I know for sure is I'm constantly missing the 1-2 shift when I'm REALLY on the throttle, so I'd love an option to get it into gear faster/more easily!
