Never mind relay just didn’t kick in, bike is sorted now
Soldered all the wires and added a new diode assy and bike was turning over now I have no power to bike.... all my fuses are fine wth
Well I think I found my problem..
So I changed all the fuses and check the harness and couldn’t find an issue, the same spot on the diode blew and bike wants to shut off along with...
The do have a led strip taillight that I haven’t wired a resistor and diode in yet, I’ll fix all that and do some testing
I’m going to go ahead and assume my issue is the diode block, headlight wasn’t turning on when the bike actually ran (carb spray) and would want...
Thanks so much!
My headlight bracket came loose and there was a nut in there I’m assuming that’s why, can someone pop me a link to a new one ?
Well found this connector to be melted inside and noticed the bike kind of wants to start when it’s plugged it but just cranks when I unplug it....
I’ll change the plugs in the am but now all of a sudden my headlight won’t turn on when I turn the bike on... this is getting good ..
I started it let it run for a bit on choke (it’s kinda cold here) and then went for a ride around my neighbor hood whilst noticing it wanted to...
Actually just when I spoke too soon, I thought it was for empty gas.. kinda was but not really went for a ride and the bike is slightly sputtering...
ok so I’m throwing in a new rpm gauge and that leaves my speedo cable to be deleted. What are you guys using to plus the wholes? I imagine oil...
I’m dumb and ran out of gas, false call
Had this bike for a month ish ride it around no problem but sent it in to a shop to get some carb work done and all of a sudden.. I get a call...
So I’ve went to change my oil and noticed it had fuel mixed inside and was almost a water texture. What can be causing this? Can my floats be bad?...
Took this thing apart, re mounted the clutch and bolted back up and still no friction with clutch cable... I just pull it and it stays pulled and...
Ah, I did not pay attention to lining up the dots I may have messed that up. Will take apart and inspect thanks!
The clutch just doesn’t want to retract back for some reason
I have a 550 and the only bracket I took off I put back on and even tightened the cable and still nothing
Pulling the clutch lever and it just stays sunk down
So I just replaced the clutch and put everything back in as it was and when I try to adjust my clutch cable towards the clutch side it just won’t...
Apparently these dowel pins are hard to find, what did you use to replace them? Mine is rattling as well
Carbs were primed and there’s half a tank
Ok found the solution, seems like Rooster35 was right about the original metal bars and using that as contact for the ground. I installed the new...
I did swap the old bars for some clip ons that makes sense I will try that out, thanks so much
The harness seems all stock
This probably sounds dumb but I couldn’t find anything on this info, would the reason my start button isn’t working because my kickstand isn’t...
I don’t have a wiring diagram, I’m mainly on my phone so when I search it up Most of them are needing java to be downloaded
My thing is why would I need to create another ground if it worked before the way it is?
Hello, I’m new to the xj world and recently picked up a 550seca for a cafe project. Long story short upon owner ship I chopped the frame grinder...
