#1 cyl. plug fouling

    on the wife's 81 xj650 #1 cyl. plug keeps fouling. Wet.
    Could this mean a float problem.
    Plug has good spark when cleaned/fresh.
    All other plugs have good spark but plugs are a bit sooty. "carboned"
    A little to rich i would think.

    you got a compression tester- with this you could tell if you've got valve's out of whack or something deeper. I've just cranked up my 700 maxim. All good but #4 cylinder-wet plug/poor exhaust pressure. I hate to dig into the valves but I might have to. I just did a carb clean-so close
