Wanted 1895-86 Maxim X valve shims

Hello Everyone,


This is a plea to all members, guests and “robots” (whatever they are)


I am in need of valve shims for a 1986 Maxim X. they are 7mm (thanks Dave) and unique to this bike.


Sizes I require range from 160 to 185. I can’t swap shims internally as the ones I’m replacing are all larger, if you only have one shim that’s gold to me.


If you have shims I need I have some very thin and hard to find 29mm shims, 16 between 215-260 and 16 between 265-280 that we could possibly trade.


If you want to sell or trade makes no difference to me. I will be donating a good portion of my 29mm shim collection to hogfiddles in the near future when I have filled my head with shims.

I’m also considering buying another Maxim X just for the shims, so there could be a complete bike to be parted out soon. If there’s something off this bike you need send me a PM.
