Installed new clutch about 2 years ago. Worked good after installation. I been out of commission for a while and bike sat up in storage for about 6 months without use. Started it up yesterday, synched carbs, motor purring like a kitten. Everything working great except clutch, it won't release when pulled in. Tried adjusting cable without success. Any one know of a way to get it to release without pulling it apart?

The plates are stuck. Put it in fifth gear and rock it back and forth. You might need to push it enough to allow the upper half of the plates to rotate to where they can soak in oil overnight. Between the rocking and soaking they should free up.

It comes from years of learning from my own mistakes.

Good info on choosing oil for wet clutch. Learned that one the hard way several years back. All oil is not created equal. Not sure I have enough years left to learn from all my mistakes.
