1982 xj750 Auxiliary Light Bulb What is is?

    Guys this is to0 hard for something this simple. I can't seem to find this information and my bike is not with me to go look at.

    What size/type light bulb is in the auxiliary light on my XJ?

    It's an H3 bulb. You can get a new one at any auto parts store. You will need to swap the wire connectors though.

    The standard H3 comes with a spade terminal. You will need to cut that off and crimp on a bullet connector, or cut the bullet connector from the wiring harness and crimp on a spade terminal.

    Thank you Moe. I thought it was an H3 but I wasn't sure. Didn't want to pull it out first because of fairing has to come off.

    Here's the thing about thses sorts of questions. All that info is in you service manual. It's in the owners manual too. Both are still availalble, and both are worth having.
    Personally I'd rather take 5 minutes to find basic info in the manual, than potentially wait a day or two for a forum response.
