Hi, I suspect PO had the clutch cable the wrong route, it's out of the left handle cover and it's moving the carbs when engaging the lever. I looked in the haynes manual but I can't find the routing. Anyone has a few pics they could share?

    Thanks

Yes here they are. Cable runs the length of the frame on the left side going under the wiring harness then crossing over to the right (see red arrows & lines) and clips into a shepherds hook attached to the #3 carburetor rack screw and down the side of the air box.
