For Sale 1983 900 Seca(s)

In Minneapolis, Minnesota. I actually have 2 of these that I'm willing to sell, the price would depend on which chassis and which parts. For example, I have 3 different gas tanks (original red, gray metallic with white stripe, red/white/blue), 4 different exhaust options (original exhaust painted black, Jardine 4 into 1, Yamaha 4 into 1, straight black mufflers with cheap baffles), and 3 different seats (original recover, Sargent, and untextured black). The only side covers that I have are red. I also have a white tank/sides/fender/tail set that I painted to look like the version sold in Canada.
One chassis had 24,000 miles, the other has around 32,000 miles. Both run but one currently runs better than the other because I haven't had time to put a a factory airbox in after PO put pods on it

Both have clean MN titles in my name. Send me a message and maybe we can work something out.

I also have an assortment of used 900 Seca parts available for purchase separately (but not as many as Hogfiddles).

 

I'm interested in an engine if you'd want to sell just that

Any chance you have a spare pair of those wind swoops that connect just below the fuel tank?

 

I believe they're on the parts list as "unobtainium". No, I don't have any extras.

 

Any chance you have a rack of carbs floating around?

Unfortunately the only ones I have come with the bikes. Did you try Hogfiddles?

 

Can you describe the condition,of the painted stock exhaust. Rust dents etc? Definitely interested.

I pulled a front fender (and the other plastics) off of one that I'm selling cheaper since the 900 Seca demand is way down. PM me if Hogfiddles doesn't have one for you

 

Update. I have a stripped down second one for sale for $1,400. Runs, blinkers work, front tire and battery new last year. Carbs cleaned today. Will need a headlight to be street legal. Clean Minnesota title in my name. Has stock airbox. Glad fixed have been replaced with blade fuses. Picture shows one black blinker, this has been replaced with a chrome one.

 

The painted ones are on the red bike in the first set of pictures. They seem to be in great shape, no obvious holes. Here are a couple of other pics. Can take more pictures if needed. The charcoal tank is also for sale. Apparently it's from the Netherlands.

 

Andrew: Thanks for the information. Looks like the header pipes and the collector are unpainted and only the mufflers are painted..This is great since I really only need the headers and collector. An you name a price?

 

This is a shot in the dark but would you happen to have a luggage rack that fits the 900?

 

Unfortunately no. I can transport a 24-pack of barley pop on it, I just have to sit on it. ;oP

Bob, are you restoring, or just need to replace a broken fender? I have an fj fender that is almost the same with slightly different contour.......

Yes I do. Full disclosure, it's not the factory paint, I did it myself to mimic the Canadian version. I don't think I did a pretty good job. Note: that black exhaust wouldn't come with the bike, I'm keeping it for my "museum piece" but I do have a Yamaha 4-1 and a 4-2 straight pipe option. It also comes with a dark blue seat.

 

Gotcha! Actually found an original Canadian one for sale and grabbed it! You have my interested in the exhaust systems though
