Can someone tell me where I can purchase a starter rubber boot and spring from? I have a 1983 Maxim 650 if that helps. The website or store would be great and would be even greater if someone has a part number.

2nd does the fuse box on the 83 suppose to have more than one fuse located in the fuse box?

    Thanks family XJ

should have 4 fuses a 20A main and 3 10A. It is not uncommon for people to have removed these and hard wired everything. When you fix the fuse box most of the members here recommend changing out the fuse boxes with blade style fuses.

All of your parts needs can be taken care of by Chacal click the xj4ever banner at the top right of the page or go here http://www.xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=14561.html

I will have to search the forum and about that blade style fuses you are talking about.

You can get the blade style fuse box from Chacal as well. I have them in both my bikes.
