1985 XJ700 X Speedometer Ratio

    I am thinking of installing a new speedometer on my 1985 XJ700 X. Does anybody know what ratio the stock speedometer is? I am planning on installing a mechanical speedometer so I can keep the stock cable drive. I have been looking at the Drag Specialties mini speedometers.

    dunno if this helps---but--- I've just calibrated a acewell speedo on my xj600 1990 euro model and for 10 front wheel revolutions the speedo drive revolved 27 times.
    so ratio is 2.7 to one
    maybe the 700 is the sameo_O
