***Note to Moderator... I couldn't decide if this was general, classified, technical or so on, so I am posting here. Please move as you deem appropriate or let me know and I will move it if this is not the place.

Hello all, Jay here. I am returning after a four year hiatus from an XJ-700. In short, I rebuilt this bike for a friend of mine, ended up buying it, but then sold it right back to him a few months later. Since then, it has sat, AGAIN!!! I'm on the fence and wanted to reach out to you for advice. Should I sell it (carbs need to be done again), fix and keep, fix and sell or part the daylights out of it via eBay or other means. We live in South Florida if anyone is interested. I will have pictures up shortly including how much he wants for it in the event anyone is interested. Thanks in advance!!! Jay

If the only problem is it sat for a long time...fix it and ride it. If it has been recked get what you can out of it.

There are SO many parts on Ebay these days. It seems everyone has decided to part out old bikes and most of the parts out there are JUNK and/or mis-labeled.

I'd clean the carbs again and ride it if you need a ride otherwise sell it whole but make sure it's running otherwise you won't get squat for it.
Regardless I'd suggest you put a couple hundred miles on it to get the "rusty" feel out of it when someone comes to inspect/test ride it.
