I changed the front brake pads. Now have no pressure on brake handle. 0 pressure. I’ve tried bleeding from 3 spots. No air or fluid comes out. I removed the bolt at the master cylinder by handle. I would assume fluid would run out. Maybe a drop came out. Pump the handle and nothing happens. I would think fluid would come out. Not sure what to do.

Did you think to rebuild the master cylinder?

No. Why would I need to rebuild the master from changing brake pads? I don’t know if o know how or if I would bother. New ones are under 20. But why would it go bad from changing pads. I blew air in the small hole inside the tank. Air is coming out. No fluid comes out with the bongo bolt out. Should it not?

Don't know but now something isn't working.

Whatever the reason, this seems to be the problem and why I asked if you thought to do a rebuild.

How much fluid is in the master cylinder? Do you have the original brake lines mabe an internal blockage in the line. Is the brake fluid you are using new or half a bottle that has been stored for a long time?

Fluid was full. New fluid. Same lines on it since I’ve had it.

But please answer this. With the bango bolt totally removed should the fluid run out or does it need some pressure for it to drain?

how do u test a master cylinder?

Talked to one guy who seemed to be a mechanic on bikes to some degree. He thinks the cylinder is stuck. Can’t really tell for sure.

I think the cylinder or piston is stuck. Watching a u tube I think you’re supposed to see the piston move thru the small hole as u pump the brake. I don’t see anything.

I know a guy who owns a bike shop. I’ll show it to him to see for sure and if I should just get a new one for $16 on eBay.
