Heres my new ride. I'm a little sad that its not an xj1100 or an xs1100, but not that sad, hahaha.

Enjoy your new ride...even if it isn't an XJ.

It's a growed-up Virago, and that's good enough for me.

Did you get to check out the 3 wheeled doohickey in the background? Curious about those... they're not a bike, but neither is my dodge.

I know a few people who ride the slingshot/spyder reverse trikes. They are happy with them, I'm just not interested. Not that I have anything against 3 wheels... in fact I love trikes... but the reverse trike is just so far down the list of things I want to own I don't spend much time thinking about them. My eyes just pass right over them when I drive by the dealer lots or spend my lunch break in a show room. I would be more interested if they made a utility model ala the harley servi-car, but I'm far more likely to buy a quad runner (which are quickly and cheaply made street legal in south dakota) so I can on/off road.

I hate the way they look, the slingshot especially. Its like they come stock with a 65 year old man in a grey members only jacket and a "navy veteran" ballcap behind the wheel. No disrepect to navy greybeards, but you all know the guy I'm talking about.

The spider does not interest me in the least. I rode one once, and it felt like ' a 4-wheeler '. Big whupdy-do. But the Slingshot---- I think they're pretty cool, but...... I've yet to take one for a spin...... Would love to try one, though.

You got a weird camera there...... The red vehicle in the background has a really blotchy paint job, and the person on the porch has a really blotchy make-up.......lol

I'll do you the favor of not telling my uncle you said he wears makeup.

Not going to buy a trike any time soon, but it does have more spice than my 05 neon. Just curious about the ride, ya know?
Here's my plan far into the future: some silly modern bike as a daily driver, sell the 750rj, pick a 650r, 750x or 900r, cruise, cruise, cruise, upgrade, cruise, sell em all for an old people bike, and then the trike as a golden age wheelchair.
Huh, what, two kids and a mortgage? I guess that's the dream. Reality is a 20 year old mountain bike until I need a real wheelchair.

My dad was just telling me about a guy he met this week that is like 72 years old and just did something like a 21,000 mile run on 2 wheels over the course of a month. I'm certainly fudging the exact numbers because I'm not the one who met the guy and he just told me about it briefly, but the point is there is still a lot of good miles out there to be ridden. Don't buy your lap blanket and grabby stick just yet.
